At DPDR we only Adopt out our Danes under a Guardian to Adopt program. By utilizing the Guardian to Adopt placement method our sacred Great Danes are provided a chance to go through their initial decompression in their new home while receiving support, encouragement and guidance through DPDR.
Homes in the following states will be considered: Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri and Kansas.
Guardian to Adopt Application will not be finalized or moved to the next step in the process until the non-refundable Application fee of $25 is paid.
Guardian to Adopt Applications will undergo Reference Checks, Veterinarian Checks, and a Home Visit Interview process PRIOR to being an approved home. DPDR retains the right to refuse any placement for any reason. If you are selected to become a Guardian to Adoptee a Guardian payment of $30 + tax will be invoiced separately, the Adoption fee will reflect this payment and reduce the amount owed at time of Adoption.
